About Chris

Chris Hubbard is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City with a primary focus on ceramics and painting. Her work layers elements from her background in drawing, painting, printmaking, and ceramic arts into compositions that are both deliberate and dynamic, inspired by bold color, observation, and a deep engagement with art history.

Art has always been part of Chris's life, though it took time to fully claim it. After beginning her career at Christie's auction house and later building a career in media and advertising, she found herself continually drawn back to her artistic practice. Chris finds inspiration in the world around her, from everyday moments to the artists and visual traditions that continue to shape her perspective.
